See IUCLID6 item 5.2: The substance is readily biodegradable

Description of key information

Degradation by hydrolysis is not anticipated.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Due to the absence of hydrolysable groups, degradation by hydrolysis is not expected to be of importance. The substance is readily biodegradable, therefore in accordance with REACH Annex VIII column 2, the study on hydrolysis does not need to be conducted.

Hydrolysis of cyclohexanol was investigated in a study performed by SafePharm Laboratories (2003), however the registrants do not have access nor need it because of the valid waiver.
