Additional information

Biodegradation in water: screening tests

Three out of four available screening studies indicate that ADCA is not readily biodegradable. It is therefore concluded, on weight of evidence, and based on screening studies, that ADCA is not readily biodegradable

Biodegradation in water: simulation tests

In accordance with column 2 of REACH annex IX and annex X, section 9.2, further degradation testing does not need to be conducted as the substance is not classifed as hazardous to the aquatic environment and a chemical safety assessment is not required.

 Biodegradation in sediment: simulation tests

Based on the information on the uses and on the substance properties, ADCA has a very low environmental exposure expected, a low partitioning to soil compartment in STP, a low adsorption potential (Koc=1.6). We therefore do not expect any environmental exposure and propose to waive this test.
