Description of key information

Data waived - Study scientifically not necessary / other information available. The substance did not melt, thus the vapour pressure test was not necessary. Column 2 of REACH Annex VII provides the following exemption: A vapour pressure study does not need to be conducted for solids which either melt above 300°C. Nickel hydroxycarbonate decomposed without melting from approximately 240°C. The testing was carried out over the temperature range of 20-450oC and observations indicated an absence of melting. See Melting Point data in IUCLID Section 4.2. (Study report #2877-0016: Harlan Labs: Nickel hydroxycarbonate determination of hazardous physico-chemical properties. Study in 2009; Report December 13, 2009).
