Description of key information

Iron pellets are produced as a hard, spherical agglomerate with a diameter > 8 mm. Consequently, iron pellets do not contain particles in the inhalable size range. Pellet fines are produced through abrasion of the pellets through the process and are collected at set points in order to return to the manufacturing process for re-use. There particle size falls below that of pellets and range from 8mm-0.06mm.

Additional information

Iron pellets are produced as a hard agglomerate consisting of spheres of diameter > 8 mm. The substance as used therefore does not contain particles in the inhalable size range. Pellet fines are produced through abrasion of the pellets through the process and are collected at set points in order to return to the manufacturing process for re-use. There particle size falls below that of pellets and range from 8mm-0.06mm.
