Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
Inhalation: Move indjured to fresh air. Let victim to lie down in the recovery position, cover and keep him warm. Consult a physican.
Skin contact; Take off contaminated clothing. Wash skin with big amount of water and soap. In case of irritation consult physician.
Eye contact: Wash out with plenty of water with the eyelid hold wide open for at least 15 min. Remove any contact lenses. Consult a doctor in event of any irritations.
Ingestion: Give plenty of water to drink. Induce vomiting (eg. give 150 ml liquid paraffin to drink) , but only if victim is fully conscious. Consult a doctor– show the container or label. Never give anything to drink to unconscious person.
Fire-fighting measures
Personal protection typical in case of fire. Wear suitable respiratory equipment. Do not stay in fire area without specialistic equipment.
Accidental release measures
Use personal protective equipment . Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Work only in well-ventilated areas. Remove any ignition sources. Do not allow the substance to contaminate surface water/ground water. If the product contaminates waterways or drains, alert the relevant authorities. Large spills should be surrounded with sand and pumped to labeled containers. In case of small spill soak up with not flammable liquid-binding material (e.g. sand, sawdust, universal binding agent, diatomaceous earth). Collect spilled material in labelled, closed containers.
Handling and storage
HANDLING: Handle in accordance with good occupational hygiene and safety practices. Work only in well-ventilated areas. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Use only in accordance with intended use. When handling do not eat, drink or smoke.
STORAGE: Keep only in original, tightly closed container in well-ventilated, dry place in room temperature. Keep away from sources of heat, ignition and direct sunlight. Do not store with food and food related products. Do not smoke.
