Additional information

High quality data from the Toxicity to Birds was used in the derivation of the PNECoral value. One relevant study (Eastin and O’Shea, 1981) was identified that examined long-term reproductive effects to dietary Ni exposure in Anas platyrhynchos.  Ni ingestion up to 800 mg Ni/kg had no effect on egg production, hatchability, or survivorship of offspring.  Overt reproductive effects of dietary Ni exposure toAnas platyrhynchoswere not detected.  No other relevant long-term reproductive studies were identified.
