Memo: Ni effects on CO2 release from soil
In soils with and without 0.5% straw added, addition of Ni significantly
(p<0.05) decreased the amount of CO2 released, compared to untreated
controls. The amounts of CO2 released from treated and untreated soils
with straw added were greater than soils without straw added. Treatment
with nickel, with and without straw addition, did not alter soil pH bymore than 0.3 units from controls. Straw added to treated soil increased
the amounts of Morgan- and EDTA-extractable nickel.
