Description of key information

There were no toxicity data available for ethylbenzene to arthropods. However, based on the chemical and physical properties of ethylbenzene
direct or indirect exposure to the soil compartment is unlikely.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Ethylbenzene is readily biodegradable and has a BCF of 110. The results from a fugacity model (McKay Level I) based on key physical and chemical properties concluded that direct or indirect exposure to the soil compartment is unlikely.
