This study does not need to be conducted if the substance is inorganic (cf. Annex VII, Section 7.9, Column 2 of Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006). The substance is a salt of fatty acids with an inorganic cation. It is an inorganic substance in accordance with the definitions of the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC) because of its ionic structure. Thus, waiving in accordance with Annex VII, Section 7.9, Column 2 of Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 is justified.
