Description of key information

This test is unnecessary because calcium is not an oxidising substance based on its chemical structure. Due to its reactivity, it rapidly forms an oxide (CaO) when exposed to air. According to the provisions of EU method A.17 method, Calcium oxide was also assessed as not oxidising by expert judgement.
