Description of key information
No data are available for the carcinogenicity of TOS. However, further testing is not considered necessary because:
• The substance is not classified for mutagenicity; and
• There is no evidence from the repeated dose studies that constituents of TOS are able to induce hyperplasia or pre-neoplastic lesions.
• Furthermore, from the life cycle there is no possibility of widespread exposure.
