Additional information

The Petroleum gases are predicted to partition predominantly to the atmosphere. Based on QSAR estimates, members of this category are considered to be readily biodegradable. Due to this, data is not required on the biodegradation of the streams in water, sediment or soil.

Structural analysis of the streams indicates that they are not expected to undergo hydrolysis due to the lack of hydrolysable functional groups. Experimental data is not available for any category members on bioaccumulation potential or Koc, however due to the low Kow, the Petroleum gases are predicted to have a low potential for bioaccumulation and adsorption.
