Materials and methods

Principles of method if other than guideline:
Two female and two male rats were maintained in the exposure chamber for 6 hours. Body weight and clinical behaviour was recorded every day. Urine was collected overnight after the last exposure day for biochemical testing. On the following day rats were anaesthetized, partially exsanguinated by heart puncture for  hematological 
tests and organs were grossly examined. Histopathology: lung, liver, kidneys, spleen, adrenals, and occasionally  heart,
jejunum, ileum, and thymus. Test atmosphere was generated by injecting the powdered solid into a  metered 
air stream, MMAD not specified.
