The lowest EC50 value Acute aquatic toxicity data are available for fish (BTX) and for daphnia and alga.

The lowest EC50/LC50(48 h) value of 3.8 mg/L was found under closed conditions in the daphnia test.

This finding is in line with result for key components:

The LC50(96 h) values in fish for BTX aromatic compounds all fall within the range of 1 - 10 mg/L.

This supports classification of light oil as toxic to aquatic organisms, may cause long-term adverse effects in the aquatic environment (N, R51/53).
