Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Zwolinski (1971) found that the vapour pressure of cyclohexane is 12.4 kPa at 24˚C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Vapour pressure:
12.4 kPa
at the temperature of:
24 °C

Additional information

The Handbook of vapour pressures and heats of vaporisation of hydrocarbons and related compounds by Zwolinski, B.J. and Wilhoit, R.C. (1971) is a peer reviewed handbook and so can be considered reliable and suitable for use as the key study for this endpoint. The supporting study (WHO ICSC 1994) is also a peer reviewed source and reports a vapour pressure of 12.7 kPa (127 hPa) at 20 ˚C and supports the value reported in the key study. A similar result of 10.3 kPa at 20 ˚C was also reported in the EU RAR (2004).
