Additional information

The study used to determined biodegradation of cyclohexane (Exxon 1995) followed the OECD guideline 301F manometric respirometry test and was identified as the key study in the EU RAR (2004). The study was therefore deemed suitable for assessment. This study indicates that cyclohexane is readily biodegradable.

Based on the screening criteria for persistence stipulated in ECHA‘s Guidance on information requirements and chemical safety assessment - Part C: PBT Assessment (2008) this result indicates that cyclohexane is not considered to be persistent (P) or very persist (vP).
