Description of key information

The reported 48 hour LC50 for earthworms exposed to cyclohexane was >1000 µg.cm-2

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Short-term EC50 or LC50 for soil macroorganisms:
1 000 µg/kg soil dw

Additional information

The study selected as key, Roberts and Dorough, 1984, is equivalent to screening test for OECD 207, uses standard species (Eisenia foetida) and standard exposure duration and method. The artificial soil test (OECD 207) does not need to be carried out as the screening test did not indicate levels of toxicity requiring further investigation. The reported 48 hour LC50 was >1000 µg.cm-2. No other studies were identified for this endpoint.
