First-aid measures

· General information: Take affected persons out of danger area and lay down.
· After inhalation: Supply fresh air; consult doctor in case of complaints.
· After skin contact: Immediately wash with water and soap and rinse thoroughly. If skin irritation continues, consult a doctor.
· After eye contact: Rinse opened eye for several minutes under running water.
· After swallowing: Rinse out mouth and then drink plenty of water. If symptoms persist consult doctor.

Fire-fighting measures

· Suitable extinguishing agents: CO2, powder or water spray. Fight larger fires with water spray or alcohol resistant foam. Use fire extinguishing methods suitable to surrounding conditions.
· Special hazards caused by the substance, its products of combustion or resulting gases: Carbon monoxide (CO)
· Protective equipment: Wear self-contained respiratory protective device.
· Additional information: Cool endangered receptacles with water spray. Collect contaminated fire fighting water separately. It must not enter the sewage system.

· Person-related safety precautions: Ensure adequate ventilation. Wear protective clothing. Avoid formation of dust. Keep away from ignition sources.
· Measures for environmental protection: Do not allow product to reach sewage system or any water course.
· Measures for cleaning/collecting: Pick up mechanically. Dispose of the material collected according to regulations.

HANDLING
· Information for safe handling: Prevent formation of dust. Any unavoidable deposit of dust must be regularly removed. Ensure good ventilation/exhaustion at the workplace.
· Information about fire and explosion protection: Dust can combine with air to form an explosive mixture. Keep ignition sources away - Do not smoke. Protect against electrostatic charges.

Exposure controls / personal protection

· General protective and hygienic measures: Do not eat, drink, smoke or sniff while working. Keep away from foodstuffs, beverages and feed. The usual precautionary measures are to be adhered to when handling chemicals.
