A complex combination of hydrocarbons obtained from catalytic isomerization of straight chain paraffinic C4 through C6 hydrocarbons. It consists predominantly of saturated hydrocarbons such as isobutane, isopentane, 2,2-dimethylbutane, 2-methylpentane, and 3-methylpentane.
Distribution modeling results are included
in the 'Multimedia distribution modeling results'
tab in the PETRORISK spreadsheet attached to Section 13 of the
CSR. Based on the regional scale exposure assessment, the multimedia
distribution of the substance in 93.0%
to air, 5.83% to water, 0.81% to sediment and 0.34% to soil.
The distribution of the substance in the
environmental compartments, air, water, soil, and sediment, has been
calculated using the PETRORISK Model, version 5.0. Based on the regional
scale exposure assessment, the multimedia distribution of the substance
is 93.0% to air, 5.83% to water,
0.81% to sediment and 0.34% to soil.
