Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The flash point of hydrocarbons, C13-C20, n-alkanes, iso-alkanes, cyclics, 40-60% aromatics is in the range of >100 to 143 °C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

There are no data available on the flash point for hydrocarbons, C13-C20, n-alkanes, iso-alkanes, cyclics, 40-60% aromatics. Based on an analogue approach data are read-across to both, hydrocarbons, C14-C18, n-alkanes, isoalkanes, cyclics, aromatics (2-30%) and hydrocarbons, C16-C20, n-alkanes, isoalkanes, cyclics, aromatics (2-30%), in order to cover lower and upper ends of carbon range.

For hydrocarbons, C14-C18, n-alkanes, isoalkanes, cyclics, aromatics (2-30%) the following measured data are available: > 100 °C (Haltermann Products 2010), 121 °C (ExxonMobil Chemical 2010a), and 122 °C (Petrochem Carless 2010a). Measured data available for hydrocarbons, C16-C20, n-alkanes, isoalkanes, cyclics, aromatics (2-30%) are 120 °C (Petrochem Carless 2010b) and 143 °C (ExxonMobil Chemical 2010b).

A justification for the use of mentioned analogue substances for read-across is attached to IUCLID section 13.
