Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The autoflammability of hydrocarbons, C13-C20, n-alkanes, iso-alkanes, cyclics, 40-60% aromatics is >200 °C at 1 atm.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

There are no data available on the auto flammability for hydrocarbons, C13-C20, n-alkanes, iso-alkanes, cyclics, 40-60% aromatics. Based on an analogue approach data are read-across to both, hydrocarbons, C14-C18, n-alkanes, isoalkanes, cyclics, aromatics (2-30%) and hydrocarbons, C16-C20, n-alkanes, isoalkanes, cyclics, aromatics (2-30%), in order to cover lower and upper ends of carbon range.

Based on extraplated data from Chemical Engineering (1972) the autoflammability of both, hydrocarbons, C14-C18, n-alkanes, isoalkanes, cyclics, aromatics (2-30%) and hydrocarbons, C16-C20, n-alkanes, isoalkanes, cyclics, aromatics (2-30%), is >200 °C at 1atm.

A justification for the use of mentioned analogue substances for read-across is attached to IUCLID section 13.
