Description of key information

<< 0.1 kPa at 20°C

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

For complex substances the vapour pressure is the sum of the partial pressure of the individual constituents (Raoult’s Law). Based on the molecular weight, viscosity and boiling point, bitumens are expected to have low vapour pressures (<< 0.1 kPa at 20°C) at ambient temperature (CONCAWE, 1992a).
