Flammability:
extremely flammable

Additional information

Reported flammability limits of 1,1 -dichloroethene were all between 5.6 % for the lower limit and 16 % for the upper limit. As a conservative approach, these extreme values were retained.

Justification for classification or non-classification

Based on its flash point below 23 °C and its boiling point below 35°C, 1,1 -dichloroethene is to be classified as extremely flammable according the regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 of the european parliament and of the council of 16 December 2008 on classification, labelling and packaging of substances and mixtures.

Based on its flash point below 0 °C and its boiling point below 35°C, 1,1 -dichloroethene is to be classified as extremely flammable according the Directive 67/548/EEC
