No toxic effects occur in the range of water solubility in aquatic organisms.

The test substance has a very low water solubility (< 0.069 mg/L). Therefore bioavailability to aquatic organisms is strongly limited.

The available tests did not reveal any toxic effects in the range of water solubility. There is a high probabilit that the substace is not acutely harmful to aquatic organisms. Based on long-term (chronic) toxicity data, the product is very likely not harmful to aquatic organisms.

OECD 203: Danio rerio LC50 > 0.33 mg/L (NOEC >= 0.33 mg/L)

OECD 202: Daphnia magna EC50 > 0.9 mg/L (NOEC >= 0.9 mg/L)

OECD 201: Scenedesmus subspicatus ErC50 > 0.66 mg/L (NOEC >= 0.66 mg/L)

OECD 211: Daphnia magna NOEC >= 2 mg/L (nominal)

The inhibition of the degradation activity of activated sludge is not anticipated when introduced to biological treatment plants in appropriate low concentrations. There was a slight inhibition of the respiration rate of 9.9% at the high dose level of 100 mg/L (EC10 = 100 mg/L; EC50 >= 100 mg/L).
