Additional information

Short-term toxicity tests are available for all three trophic levels (fish, invertebrates and algae). The 96-h LC50 is >1000 mg/L in zebrafish, the 48 -h EC50 in Daphnia magna is >420mg/L, and the 72 -h ErC50 and ErC10 values in algae are >100 mg/L and 100 mg/L, respectively. In an activated sludge respiration inhibition test a 3-h IC50 value of >100 mg/L was observed.

Conclusion on classification

Based on all available data for fish, aquatic invertebrates and algae, the test substance needs not be classified according to Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008 on Classification, Labelling and Packaging of Substances and Mixtures (CLP)). However, the substance is included in Annex VI of EU Classification, Labelling and Packaging of Substances and Mixtures (CLP) Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008 and is classified N; R51/53 and aquatic chronic 2: H411, respectively.
