- other: shortest buring time of 6 measurements, distance 100 mm
Any other information on results incl. tables
Ignition resulted in a slow smouldering fire and the burning rate was determined.
6 measurements, distance of 100 mm, were performed. The burning times 598, 586, 620, 573, 560 and 606 [s] were determined.
Mean: 590.5 s
Applicant's summary and conclusion
- Interpretation of results:
- GHS criteria not met
- Conclusions:
- The test substance has not to be classified as flammable solid according to Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008.
- Executive summary:
The flammability of the solid test substance was determined according to Directive 79/831/EEC, annex V, A.10 and GLP. Ignition of the test substance resulted in a slow smouldering fire. The burning time for a distance of 100 mm was determined 6 times. The shortest measured time of 560 s considerably exceeds the classification criterium of 45 s. Therefore, the test substance has not to be classified as flammable solid according to Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008.
