Description of key information

The acute toxicity of the test item to the freshwater invertebrate Daphnia magna has been investigated. A 48-hour EC50 value of > 100 mg/L based on nominal test concentrations was determined.

Additional information

In accordance with EU method C.2 a study was performed to assess the acute toxicity of the test item to Daphnia magna. The organisms were exposed to an aqueous solution of the test material in the concentration range 1 -100 mg/L (nominal values) for 48 hours at a temperature of 20 °C under static test conditions. The number of immobilised Daphnia were recorded after 24 and 48 hours. The 48 -hour EC50 obtained for the test material to Daphnia magna based on nominal test concentrations of test item was > 100 mg/L.
