According to Annex VIII of EC regulation No 1907/2006, the determination of the hydrolysis potential of the test item does not need to be performed for such highly insoluble test item (<0.2 µg/L), hydrolysis being unlikely to occur.

E99434 is biodegraded 18% at Day 28 in the Closed Bottle test. In the prolonged Closed Bottle test the test substance is biodegraded 30% at Day 60. E99434 should therefore be classified as inherently biodegradable, this test indicating an unequivocal evidence of biodegradation (>20%).

E99434 did not cause a reduction in the endogenous respiration.
