Additional information

Experimental results are available for earthworms, collembolans and plants (Stantec, 2006). The study report only contains EC25 and EC50 values; therefore the results of these chronic studies are considered as acute effect values.

- Earthworm reproduction (no. of progeny): 63-d EC50 = 776 mg/kg soil dw
- Earthworm adult survival: 35-d LC50 > 1000 mg/kg soil dw

- Collembolan adult survival and reproduction (EC50, EC25): > 1000 mg/kg soil  dw.

- Alfalfa, Barley, Northern Wheatgrass seedling emergence (EC50): > 1000 mg/kg soil dw.

The lowest effect value was detected for Alfalfa in a seedling emergence test (EC50 shoot dry mass = 1632 mg/kg soil dw). The PNEC soil was derived by applying an assessment factor of 1000 to the lowest EC50 according to REACH Guidance R.10.6.2 as results are available from short-term tests with a producer, a consumer and a decomposer. The PNEC based on experimental data is 1.63 mg/kg soil dw.
