Additional information

Justification for classification or non-classification

1,3-Dioxolane is a highly flammable liquid, due to the determined flashpoint of <= 2.5 °C and the boiling point of 76 °C. 1,3-Dioxolane does not form flammable gases in contact with water and has no pyrophoric properties. The self-Ingnition temperature of 1,3-Dioxolane is 250 °C. Based on these data 1,3 -Dioxolane is classified as a flammable liquid (cat. 2),

H225: Highly flammable liquid and vapour.
