Additional information

No data are available on the hydrolytic stability of Isopropyl palmitate. Due the ready biodegradability hydrolysis testing is not required under REACh. Two supporting study entries (QSAR and a read cross to Fatty acids, C16-18 and C18-unsatd., branched and linear, Bu esters CAS: 163961 -32 -8) indicate that the test substance is hydrolytically stable with a half-life of >1 year. Based on a QSAR estimation using SRC AOP v1.92, Isopropyl palmitate is susceptile to indirect photodegradation in air. The estimated half time for the reaction with OH-radicals is 17.5 hours (24 hr day; OH-concentration 0.5E+06).
