Description of key information

Data not required as substance is readily biodegradable.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The substance, Amyl salicylate has been shown to be readily biodegradable and, according to Regulation (EC) 1907/2006, it is unnecessary to perform surface water or sediment simulation tests for substances that are readily biodegradable. Since the substance is readily biodegradable simulation tests will provide little additional information as rapid mineralisation in the environment is already assumed. The identification of degradation products is also not required.
