Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Ready Biodegradability (CO2 Evolution Test, OECD Guideline 301 B): not readily biodegradable but inherently biodegradable.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Biodegradation in water:
inherently biodegradable

Additional information

The test substance was not readily biodegradable. The biodegradation was 54 % within 28 days and 31 % within the 10d window.

The test substance is assumed to be inherently biodegradable, as it just missed the threshold of 60 % degradation within 28 days. The ECHA Guidance on Data Requirement and CSA, Part 7b says: "When results of ready biodegradability tests indicate that the pass level criterion is almost fulfilled (i.e. ThOD or DOC slightly below 60% or 70% respectively) such results can be used to prove inherent biodegradability."
