Description of key information

Fatty acids, C8-10, Me esters (CAS 85566-26-3) will evaporate into the atmosphere from the water surfaces.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The Henry's Law constant was calculated (HENRYWIN v3.20) to be 97.3 - 171 Pa m³/mole (25 °C) for both main components. Additionally one experimental result for CAS-No. 111-11-5 cited in HENRYWIN v3.20 is available and supports the calculated results with an experimental Henry's Law constant of 79.3 Pa m³/ mol. Thus, the calculated Henry's Law constant indicates that the substance will evaporate into the atmosphere from the water surfaces.
