Additional information

One ready biodegradation study is available for 2-ethylhexyl laurate (CAS No. 20292-08-4).

This key study with 2-ethylhexyl laurate (CAS No. 20292-08-4) was conducted according to OECD guideline 301 B and GLP (King, 1993), using non-adapted domestic activated sludge, as inoculum. During the 28-day test period, biodegradation reached 91.7%, based on CO2 evolution, and the 10-day window criterion was met.

In conclusion, 2-ethylhexyl laurate (CAS No. 20292-08-4) can be considered to be readily biodegradable according to OECD criteria.
