Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Biodegradation in water and sediment: simulation tests
Administrative data

- Endpoint:
- biodegradation in water: sediment simulation testing
- Data waiving:
- exposure considerations
- Justification for data waiving:
- the study does not need to be conducted because direct and indirect exposure of sediment is unlikely
- Justification for type of information:
- In accordance with REACH Annex IX, No. 9.2.1.4, Column 2, the study does not need to be conducted as the direct and indirect exposure of sediment is unlikely. The following situation applies to Methylphosphonic acid, compound with amidinourea (1:1) during the manufacturing process, during processing, and when used as flame retardant in end products: Exposure to aquatic environment is considered negligible, as nearly all wastewater from manufacturing and processing of Methylphosphonic acid, compound with amidinourea (1:1) is sampled and incinerated as hazardous waste. During the regular use of Methylphosphonic acid, compound with amidinourea (1:1) fixed on technical textile surfaces no further exposure to the aquatic environment is expected as washing of such textiles is not advised.
