Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The data on an analogous substance indicate that methyl vinyl ether is readily biodegradable without fulfilling the 10-day window criterion. The available test results indicate, that the substance is not persistent as the pass level of the test is reached. Furthermore, the substance is highly volatile and will mainly distribute into the atmosphere where it will be photodegraded rapidly. Therefore, it can be assumed that further testing should not reveal any information helping to assess the biodegradability of the substance. Thus, no further testing on biodegradation is performed.
