Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

Based on a QSAR estimation using SRC AOP v1.92, 2-ethylhexyl oleate (CAS 26399 -02 -0) is susceptile to indirect photodegradation in air (Kampara, 2013). The estimated half time for the reaction with OH-radicals is 4.14 to 4.51 hours (24 h day; OH-concentration 0.5E+06). However, this is not expected to be a relevant environmental fate process, since the substance is not expected to be present in the atmosphere based on the low estimated vapour pressure (0.00000024 Pa at 20 °C).As this study is not a standard information requirement in REACH and there is no indication from the CSA on the need to investigate further the fate and behaviour of the substance (Annex X requirement), no further testing is considered necessary.
