The substance 2-ethylhexyl oleate is regarded as readily biodegradable according to a CO2 evolution test (OECD 301B) where 87% of the test was degraded within 28 days. This finding is further corroborated by the fact that all category member have consistently been shown to be readily biodegradable. Considering 2-ethylhexyl oleate as readily biodegradable, further simulation testing on sediment and soil is not required.
