Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The ErC50 for growth rate on the test organism Desmodesmus subspicatus in the key study without and with pH adjustment were 92 mg/l and > 1000 mg/l, respectively (Biermann, 2009).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

EC10 or NOEC for freshwater algae:
249 mg/L

Additional information

ErC50 > 1000 mg/l (EC10 ca. 249 mg/l) in a test with pH adjustment to 7.5 is relevant key value for the chemical safety assessment. In tests without pH adjustments effects were observed due to low pH-values (pH = 4.8 - 6.0 in the range of ErC50).
