Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

- not highly flammable.
- no pyrophoric properties
- does not liberate flammable gases on contact with water.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

- The flammability of a liquid is derived from flash point (and boiling point) and was not detectable, ignition flame expires at 65°C

- Based on chemical structure and experience in handling and use of substance the pyrophoric properties and the flammability in contact with water are not to be expected.

Justification for classification or non-classification

- The flammability of a liquid is deduced from flash point (and boiling point) and was not detectable, ignition flame expires at 65°C

- Based on chemical structure and experience in handling and use of substance the pyrophoric properties and the flammability in contact with water are not to be expected.

The evaluation of flash point for flammability of a liquid is based on the set criteria for C&L as outline in the Annex VI to Directive 67/548/EEC and in the GHS the 4th revised edition, UN 2011.

The theoretical assessments of Pyrophoricity and Flammability on contact with water are based on section R.7.1.10 of Guidance chapter R.7a of REACH Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006.

It can be concluded that the substance is not considered to be classified as a flammable material.
