First-aid measures

General information: Symptoms of poisoning may even occur after several hours; therefore medical observation for at least 48 hours after the accident.
After inhalation: Supply fresh air and to be sure call for a doctor. In case of unconsciousness place patient stably in side position for transportation. Do not use mouth to mouth or mouth to nose resuscitation. Use a respiratory bag or breathing device.
After skin contact: Take off immediately all contaminated clothing. Immediately rinse with water. If skin irritation continues, consult a doctor.
After eye contact: Rinse opened eye for several minutes under runnig water. If symptoms persist, consult a doctor.
After swallowing: Do not induce vomiting; call for medical help immediately. Call for a doctor immediately.
Indication of any immediate medical attention and special treatment needed: Keep victim under observation. Symptoms may be delayed.

Fire-fighting measures

Suitable extinguishing agents: CO2, powder or water spray. Fight larger fires with water spray or alcohol resistant foam.
For safety reasons unsuitable extinguishing agents: Water with full jet.
Special hazards arising from the mixture: Containers may explose when heated.
Protective equipment: Mouth respiratory protective device. Wear fully protective suit.
Additional information: Cool endangered receptacles with water spray.

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures: Wear protective equipment. Keep unprotected persons away.
Environmental precautions: Inform respective authorities in case of seepage into water course or sewage system. Do not allow to enter sewers/surface or ground water.
Methods and material for containment and cleaning up: Absorb with liquid-binding material (sand, diatomite, universal binders, sawdust). Dispose contaminated material as waste. Ensure adequate ventilation. Clean surface to remove residual contamination.

Handling and storage

Handling:
Precautions for safe handling: Open and handle receptacle with care. Prevent formation of aerosols. Enclosure or extractor facilities are required. Strictly controlled conditions required.
Information about fire and explosion protection: Keep ignition sources away - Do not smoke. Protect against electrostatic charges. Keep respiratory protective device available.

Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities:
Requirements to be met by storerooms and receptacles: No special requirements.
Information about storage in one common storage facility: Store away from oxidizing agents.
Further information about storage conditions: Keep container tightly sealed. Store receptacle in a well ventilated area.

Additional information
Special provisions / remarks / other:
Environmental hazards: Product contains environmentally hazardous substance: Nickel bis(2-ethylhexanoate).
Special precautions for use: Warning: flammable liquids.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Personal protective equipment:
General protective and hygienic measures: Immediately remove all soiled and contaminated clothing. Wash hands before breaks and at the end of work. Store protective clothing separately. Strictly controlled conditions required.
Respiratory protection: Self-contained respiratory protective device.
Protection of hands: Protective gloves. The glove material has to be impermeable and resitant to the preparation. Selection of glove material on consideration of the penetration times, rates of diffusion and the degradation. Material of gloves: Nitrile rubber, NBR. Penetration time of glove material: For the mixture of chemicals mentioned the penetration time has to be at least > 240 minutes (Permeation according to EN 374 Part 3: Level 5).
Eye protection: Tighly sealed goggles.
Body protection: Impervious protective clothing.

Risk management measures: Strictly controlled conditions required.

Stability and reactivity

Chemical stability: Risk of ignition.
Thermal decomposition/conditions to be avoided: No decomposition if used according specifications.
Possibility of hazardous rections: No dangerous reactions known.
Conditions to avoid: Heat, flames and sparks.
Incompatible materials: Strong oxidising agents.
Hazardous decomposition products: Thermal decomposition may produce carbon monoxide.

Disposal considerations

Waste treatment methods:
Recommendation: Must not be disposed together with household garbage. Do not allow product to reach sewage system. This material and its container must be disposed as hazardous waste.

Uncleaned packaging:
Recommendation: Disposal must be made according to official regulations.
