Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The substance does not have the potential to bioaccumulate. Based on results obtained in a read-across study, Pyridine, alkyl derivs. is assumed to have a logPow < 3. Thus, experimental determination was waived.

Partition coefficient determination was carried out using 5-ethyl-2-methylpyridine (MEP, CAS no.: 104-90-5, EC no.: 203-250-0) in a read-across approach. The read-across between the UVCB substance and the model constituent is justified. A study according to EU Method A.8, OECD Guideline 117 and EPA OPPTS 830.7570 (Partition Coefficient (n-octanol / water), HPLC Method) revealed a Pow value of 127 and logPow of 2.1 at 22 °C. In a supporting study similar or equivalent to EU Method A.8 (Partition Coefficient) the partition coefficient was determined to be logPow 2.39 at 20 °C (calculated by Kowwin vl. 67, EPI suite v3.12).
