Adsorption / desorption

Soil Adsorption Coefficient i.e Koc value of tert-butyl-4-methoxyphenol was estimated as 840.7 L/kg by means of MCI method. This indicates that tert-butyl-4-methoxyphenol will adsorb to the organic carbon fraction of the soil and will have a slight tendency to move with the water content in the soil. This value of 840.7 when converted at 20°C works out to be 672.56.

Henry's Law constant

Henry's Law states that at a constant temperature, the amount of a given gas that dissolves in a given type and volume of liquid is directly proportional to the partial pressure of that gas in equilibrium with that liquid. Henrys Law Constant of tert-butyl-4-methoxyphenol which is a solid at 25 deg C is 0.00868 Pa m³/mol.
