Administrative data

Endpoint:
flash point of flammable liquids
Data waiving:
study technically not feasible
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because the substance is inorganic
the study does not need to be conducted because decomposition occurred during the melting point study
Justification for type of information:
JUSTIFICATION FOR DATA WAIVING

An experimental test for flash point is required for liquid substances only (according to ECHA Guidance on information requirements and chemical safety assessment Chapter R.7a: Endpoint specific guidance). The substance is an inorganic solid substance with no melting point up to the decomposition temperature at 290 °C. Therefore such a test is not considered to be required or relevant, and also not technically possible (available test methods usually applicable for liquids).

The study is therefore waived in accordance with REACH Annex VII Section 7.9 Column 2 and REACH Annex XI, Section 2 (testing technically not feasible).
