Description of key information

Due to the ionic nature of the substance, volatilization from the aqueous phase is not expected.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Henry's law constant (H) (in Pa m³/mol):
0.068
at the temperature of:
25 °C

Additional information

Experimental data on Henry`s law constants are not available. The Henry constant is calculated using the QSAR tool EPISuite (US-EPA, 2000 -2008) to be  6.68E-007 atm-m³/mol (6.77E-002 Pa-m³/mol), which predict a low volatilisation. However, the calculated data may not be a realistic reflection of the constants, since surfactant properties are not taken into account by the model. Due to the ionic nature of the substance, volatilization from the aqueous phase is not expected (SIDS, 2007).
