Any other information on results incl. tables
The test substance was not mutagenic in bacteria and yeast when metabolized by mice.
However, propane sultone at 460 mg/kg, which was tested in parallel, was mutagenic in both systems, while 1,4-butane sultone was found to be mutagenic for S. typhimurium but not mutagenic for S. cerevisiae. Both sultones were reported to be mutagenic in bacteria in vitro (Ames assay), as well.
