Description of key information

Four acute and two chronic aquatic toxicity data are available for test substance. Results on acute aquatic toxicity are available for fish (Rainbow Trout; LC50 (96 hours) > 320 mg/l, nominal), invertebrates (Daphnia magna; EC50 (48 hours) 72 mg/l, nominal), and algae (Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata; ErC50 (72 hours), 110 mg/l, measured, based on growth rate).

Results on chronic aquatic toxicity are available for invertebrates (Daphnia magna; NOEC (28 days) 1.9 mg/l, measured), and algae (Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata; NOEC (72 hours), 29.3 mg/l, measured, based on growth rate).

Results on microorganisms, show that test substance had no significant inhibitory effect on the respiration rate of activated sludge at any of the concentrations employed in the tests, including at a concentration of 100 mg/L which was the highest concentration tested.

These results indicate that the test substance has no aquatic classification according to the CLP Regulation.
