Based on flash point and boiling point the substance decanoic acid, methyl ester (CAS 110-42-9) is a non flammable liquid.
Based on experience in handling and use as well as assessment on the basis of the chemical structure, pyrophoricity and flammability in contact with water is not expected.

The available data on flammability of the test substance do not meet the criteria for classification according to Regulation (EC) 1272/2008 and are therefore conclusive but not sufficient for classification:
Based on flash point and boiling point the substance is a non flammable liquid.
