Additional information

Based on its vapour pressure value (4.93 Pa at 25 ºC), methyl decanoate (CAS No. 110-42-9) is not likely to be present in the atmosphere in relevant amounts. Considering its water solubility (10.6 mg/L) and log Koc values (2.6-3.3) if released into the aquatic compartment this substance is likely to show a moderate potential for adsorption to sediment and organic particles. Furthermore, moderate adsorption can be expected if released into the soil. Nevertheless, due to its ready biodegradability, persistence of methyl decanoate in the environmental compartments is not anticipated.
